7 x Operation, ParametersDAIKIN EKHHP(3/5)00AA2V3DAIKIN Hot water heat pump008.1423444_05 – 08/2016Installation and operating instructions277.5 Parameter settingsAll parameters of the control are described in detail in thissection. An overview of all parameters, their factory settings andsetting ranges are listed in Tab. 7-5.7.5.1 Setting parametersEach parameter/function is allocated a 3-digit code (e.g. [0-03]),which is displayed on the controller display (Fig. 7-4, Item 2).The first number [0] shows the parameter group (Code 1 inTab. 7-5). The second and third number [03] show the relevantparameter in this group of parameters (Code 2 in Tab. 7-5).1. Press key for at least 5 s. The icon is displayed. The current parameter code is displayed (Fig. 7-4,Item 2). The set parameter value of the relevant parame-ter code is displayed (Fig. 7-4, Item 1).2. Use the key to select the parameter group.3. Use the key to select the parameter to be set.4. Use one of the or keys to change the settingof the parameter selected.5. Press the key to save the value.6. Repeat steps 2 to 5 to set other parameters or press thekey briefly to exit the parameter setting mode.7.5.2 Parameter description[0] - Temperature settings operating modesThe following setting options are available:– [0-00] Hot water set temperature for the operating mode "HighOutput".– [0-01] Hot water set temperature for the thermal disinfectionof the hot water storage tank (Legionella protection).– [0-02] Set value heat retention function. This set value istaken up as soon as the DAIKIN is in an "OFF" period andserves to maintain a minimum storage tank temperature. TheDAIKIN hot water heat pump starts as soon as the water tem-perature in the storage tank has fallen below the temperaturehysteresis (depending on the operating mode and setting).– [0-03] Switch-off temperature heat retention function: Tem-perature at which the DAIKIN hot water heat pump stops thereheating procedure.– [0-04] Activation temperature heat retention function: Deter-mines whether automatic reheating takes place if the temper-ature falls below the parameter value [0-02].– 0 = Function is switched off– 1 = Function is switched on[2] - Thermal disinfection (Legionella protection)The following setting options are available:– [2-00] Start day: Day of the week on which the function shouldbe started.– [2-01] Automatic disinfection with switched on hot water heatpump:– 0 = No disinfection– 1 = Automatic disinfection– [2-02] Starting time: Time of day at which the function shouldbe started.– [2-03] Automatic disinfection in "Stand-by Mode":– 0 = No disinfection– 1 = Automatic disinfection– [2-04] Holding time: Length of time the disinfection tempera-ture must be maintained.DAIKIN recommends you note all changes to the pa-rameters and switching times in the tables in Section7.5.4 and Section 7.5.5.1 Parameter value2 Parameter code3 Display parameter setting modeactiveFig. 7-4 Parameter setting on the controllerIn order to set the parameter groups 2 to C (areamarked in grey in Tab. 7-5) ("Advanced Mode") youneed to push the key again for at least 10 sec.Changes to parameters are only saved if thekey is pressed. Changing to a new parameter codeor pressing the key rejects the changes made.WARNING!The settings of the Legionella protectionmust always be configured in accordancewith the country-specific laws.If no hot water is used for several days and thestorage temperature of the DAIKIN does not reachat least 60 °C, for hygiene reasons (Legionella pro-tection) it is periodically heated up to above 60 °Conce. An ON temperature > 45 °C makes sure that only theelectricBooster-Heater (BSH) is used and not the heatpump. This increases the usage duration of the refrig-erant compressor. If the temperature in the storage tank falls because of adraw-off, the thermal disinfection will be restarted. If thermal disinfection is prevented, e.g. by the high-tariff signal,(Booster-Heater (BSH) blocked), this is carried out as soon asthe DAIKIN hot water heat pump is in the normal mode again(see Tab. 7-3).
