Installation and operating instructions36DAIKIN EKHHP(3/5)00AA2V3DAIKIN Hot water heat pump008.1423444_05 – 08/20169 x Service and maintenance9.2.1 Filling, topping up storage tank - withoutinstalled solar system● Connect the filling hose with backflush prevention (1") to theconnection "DrainBack Solar - feed" (see Fig. 9-1,Item 1).● Fill the storage tank on the DAIKIN EKHHP until watercomes out of the connection (Fig. 9-1, Item 23), that hasbeen connected as the safety overflow.● Disconnect the filling hose with backflush prevention (1")again.9.2.2 Filling, topping up storage tank - with optionalKFEKFE filling connection or with installedDrainBack solar system DrainBack● Without solar system: KFE filling connection (accessoryKFE BA) on the filling and draining connection on the DAIKINEKHHP (see Fig. 3-1, Item 10)bzw.Mit Solarsystem: Mount the KFE filling connection(accessory KFE BA) to the connection bracket of thecontrol and pump unit (EKSRPS4A).● Connect thefilling hose with backflush preventer (1/2") to thepreviously installed KFE cock.● Fill the storage tank on the DAIKIN EKHHP until watercomes out of the connection (Fig. 9-1, Item 23), that hasbeen connected as the safety overflow.● Disconnect the filling hose with backflush prevention (1/2")again.CAUTION!If filling or topping up the storage tank is done bymeans of the boiler filling and drain valve, atemporary filling loop must be used with theappropriate backflow prevention device inaccordance with clause G24.2, Guidance to theWater Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations1999.UK only!!Observe the information on the water connection andwater quality in accordance with Chap. 2.4 and 4.7.Fig. 9-1 Filling the storage tank - without solar system231
