UMN:CLI User ManualV58081025.1.9 Port CrossoverMDI/MDIX is a type of Ethernet port connection according to the IEEE 802.3 standardusing twisted pair cabling. Uplink ports on hubs and switches use the same pinassignments that use pins 1 and 2 for transmit and 3 and 6 for receive. These ports arecalled Medium Dependent Interface (MDI) ports. Normal ports use the opposite pinassignment, i.e. pins 1 and 2 are used for receive and pins 3 ans 6 are used for transmit.Such ports are called MDIX (MDI-crossed) ports. In case any downstream equipment directly connected with the TX port cannot supportauto MDIX mode, you can specify the MDIX mode by CLI.To specify MDIX mode on an Ethernet port, use the following command.Command Mode Descriptionport mdix PORTS {auto | normal| cross} BridgeSpecifies MDIX mode of port.auto: auto MDIX modecross: crossover MDI modenormal: normal MDI modeTo display the port information, use the following command.Command Mode Descriptionshow port mdix [PORTS]EnableGlobalBridgeShows MDI crossover state of port.5.1.10 Traffic Statistics5.1.10.1 Packet StatisticsTo display the traffic statistics of an Ethernet port, use the following command.Command Mode Descriptionshow port statistics avg-pkt[PORTS]EnableGlobalBridgeShows the traffic statistics of the average packet for aspecified Ethernet port.PORTS: port numbershow port statistics avg [PORTS]show port statistics avg-pps[PORTS]Shows the traffic statistics per packet type for aspecified Ethernet port.show port statistics avg type[PORTS]Shows the pps statistics per packet type for a specifiedEthernet port.show port statistics interface[PORTS]Shows the interface MIB counters of a specifiedEthernet port.show port statistics rfc4293[PORTS] Shows the RFC4293 statistics for a specified port.show port statistics rmon[PORTS]Shows the RMON MIB counters of a specified Ethernetport.
