292 Configuring Device InformationThe following is an example of the CLI commands:Defining Port Mirroring SessionsPort mirroring monitors and mirrors network traffic by forwarding copies of incoming and outgoingpackets from one port to a monitoring port.Port mirroring is configured by selecting a specific port to copy all packets, and different ports fromwhich the packets copied. Before configuring Port Mirroring, note the following:When a port is set to be a target port for a port-mirroring session, all normal operations on it aresuspended. This includes Spanning Tree and LACP.Before configuring Port Mirroring, note the following:• Monitored port cannot operate faster than the monitoring port.• All the RX/TX packets should be monitored to the same port. The following restrictions apply to ports configured to be destination ports:• Ports cannot be configured as a source port.• Ports cannot be a LAG member.• IP interfaces are not configured on the port.• GVRP is not enabled on the port.• The port is not a VLAN member.• Only one destination port can be defined.console> enableconsole# configureConsole(config)# port storm-control include-multicastConsole(config)# port storm-control broadcast rate 8000Console(config)# interface ethernet g1Console(config-if)# port storm-control broadcast enableConsole(config-if)# endConsole# show ports storm-controlPort Broadcast Storm control [Packets/sec]----- -------------------------------------g1 8000g2 Disabledg4 Disabled
