16 About Your SystemHome ScreenThe Home screen displays user-configurable information about the system.This screen is displayed during normal system operation when there are nostatus messages or errors present. When the system is in standby, the LCDbacklight turns off after five minutes of inactivity if there are no errormessages. Press one of the three navigation buttons (Select, Left, or Right) toview the Home screen.To navigate to the Home screen from another menu, continue to select theup arrow until the Home icon is displayed, and then select the Homeicon.From the Home screen, press the Select button to enter the main menu. Seethe following tables for information on the Setup and View submenus.Setup MenuNOTE: When selecting an option in the Setup menu, you are asked to confirm theoption before you can continue.Option DescriptionDRAC Select DHCP or Static IP to configure the networkmode. If Static IP is selected, the available fields are IP,Subnet (Sub), and Gateway (Gtw). Select Setup DNSto enable DNS and to view domain addresses. Twoseparate DNS entries are available.Set error Select SEL to display LCD error messages in a formatthat matches the IPMI description in the SEL log. Thiscan be useful when trying to match an LCD messagewith a SEL entry.Select Simple to display LCD error messages in asimplified, user-friendly description. See "LCD StatusMessages" for a list of messages in this format.Set home Select the default information to be displayed on theLCD Home screen. See "View Menu" to see the optionsand option items that can be selected to display bydefault on the Home screen.
