38Advanced Setup – Part 1 Advanced Setup – Part 1Use this to automatically search for FM broadcasts and store upto 56 stations at preset channels A1 to 8, B1 to 8, C1 to 8, D1 to8, E1 to 8, F1 to 8 and G1 to 8.Setting the Auto Tuner Preset1 Press the CURSOR DD or HH button to select “AutoTuner Preset” at the “Input Setup” menu, thenpress the ENTER button.• The “Auto Tuner Preset” screen appears.2 Press the CURSOR FF button to select “Start”.• “Search” appears on the screen and searching begins.• “Completed” appears once searching is completed.3 Press the CURSOR DD or HH button to select“Exit”, then press the ENTER button.• The “System Setup” menu appears.• The audio delay setting does not apply when playing in the EXT.IN mode or in the analog input direct, pure direct or stereomode (TONE DEFEAT “ON”).2 Press the CURSOR DD or HH button to select“Audio Delay”, then press the ENTER button.• The “Audio Delay” screen appears.3 Press the CURSOR FF or GG button to set thedelay time (0 ms ~ 200 ms).With a movie source, for example, adjust so that themovement of the actors’ lips is synchronized with thesound.4 Press the ENTER button to enter the setting.• The “Advanced Playback” menu appears.• When watching a DVD or other video source, the picture on themonitor may seem delayed with respect to the sound. In thiscase, adjust the audio delay to delay the sound and synchronizeit with the picture.• The audio delay setting is stored separately for each inputsource.Advanced playbackSetting the Audio Delay1 Press the CURSOR DD or HH button to select“Advanced Playback” at the “System Setup”menu, then press the ENTER button.• The “Advanced Playback” menu appears.The surround mode used last for the three types of input signalsshown below is stored in the memory, and the signal isautomatically played with that surround mode the next time it isinput.Note that the surround mode setting is also stored separately forthe different input sources.q Analog and PCM 2-channel signals (STEREO)w 2-channel signals in the Dolby Digital, DTS or another multi-channel format (DOLBY PLIIx Cinema)e Multi-channel signals in the Dolby Digital, DTS or anothermulti-channel format (DOLBY/DTS SURROUND)Default settings are indicated in ( ).During playback in the PURE DIRECT mode, the surroundmode does not change even if the input signal is changed.Setting the Auto Surround Mode1 Press the CURSOR DD or HH button to select“Auto Surround Mode” at the “AdvancedPlayback” menu, then press the ENTER button.• The “Auto Surround Mode” screen appears.2 Press the CURSOR FF or GG button to select “ON”if you want to use the auto surround mode, or“OFF” if you do not want to use it.
