614-40096-00 14Rack installationA small amount of arcing may occur whenconnecting an EBM to the UPS. This is normal and willnot harm personnel. Insert the EBM cable into the UPSbattery connector quickly and firmly.To increase stability, it is preferable to place theEBM below the UPS.1. Fix the rail on the back of the rack.2. Fix the rail on the front of the rack using the two holesat the bottom.3. Fix the ears plate to the UPS.4. Place the UPS on the rails and fix the ears plate to thetop hole of the rail.5. Connect the EBM power cable as shown in the picture.6. Connect the RJ45 battery detection cable of the firstEBM between the EBM and the UPS connector "Battdetection" (11). For any additional EBM, connect thebattery detection cable to the previous EBM.Verify that the EBM connections are tight and thatadequate bend radius and strain relief exist for eachcable.
