Pressingthe menu key exits the corresponding menu item andthe changes are not stored in the controller´s nonvolatilememory; the controller software usually returns to thenext higher menu. The key is used to cancel changes entered in amenu; the controller software returns to the next highermenu without saving the changes.Selections within a menu of the controller software aremade with the cursor keys on the keypad.OO The arrow keys are used to select a menu line(up/down) or to move between input boxes.OO The arrow keys are used to select settings orto increment or decrement parameters by a certainchange value. These selection options are displayed onthe LC display (5) with their icon.An action is initiated by jogging a key several times;continuous pressing of a key (for more than approx.1 second) speeds up the jog function. The next double page shows an overview of the basicmenu structure and further information about operatingthe system and setting parameters.14367258.4 Operating the CU CG-S control moduleLEDs (1) in the toprow indicate runningfunctions thatwere initiated withtheFunction buttons (2)aside.The 3 left-hand buttonsinitiate present functionsof the controllersoftware for the CUCG-S control module:OO activatesa simulated mainsfailure for testing theemergency lightingequipments while thebutton is pressed. A short button press simulates a 5second mains failure.OO activates the menu option F-Test start / cancelThe controller software performs a function test whoseprogress and results are output on the display (5). An F-Testtests the final circuits and the luminaires connected to them. You will find further information about this in the descriptionof the related program function in the following section.OO activates the menu option B-Test start / cancelThe controller software performs an operating durationtest whose progress and results are output on the display(5). An operating duration test tests wether the connectedbatteries guarantee the programmed minimum operatingduration of the emergency lighting as required by statutein the event of a mains failure. Further details about thesystem´s operating status and faults can be requestedin the Test- & Status menu. The control module can beprogrammed to assign functions to the 3 right-hand functionbuttons F1 ... F3; e. g. the first button F 1 can be assignedthe function manual reset. The other LEDs (3) indicate:OO Ready for operationOO Feed from the power source for safety purposes (batteryoperation with failed mains power supply or FT/BT),OO Failures that can be further analysed using the controlmodule´s menu options.PLEASE NOTEPlease misinterpret a short light up of the yellow LED“Electrical Source of Safety Services” not as failure, or asa relevant battery discharging. The short light up of thisLED is the effect of an automatic battery circuit test withis realized in constant intervals.By internal dynamic measurings this LED lights for shorttime without mains failure or a function test resp. aduration test was set. The control keys on the keypad(6) are used to initiate the program functions on thecontroller software or change their parameter settings. The Main Menu of the controller software is opened fromthe main screen with the key (7), refered to in the thecurrent test as the previous menu level until the main screen appears onthe graphic display (5).
