Verify the UPS system is turned off and all power sources are removed. SeeChapter 7, “UPS Operating Instructions,” for shutdown instructions.2. Unfasten the front door latch and swing the door open (see Figure 4‐2 onpage 4-4).3. Remove the door. Remove the retaining screw located inside the door at thebottom hinge pivot point, then lift the door off. Retain the hardware for later use.4. If installing interface wiring through the left interface entry conduit landing,proceed to Step 5; otherwise, proceed to Step 7.5. If not already accomplished, remove one top screw and two bottom screwssecuring the UPS left front panel (see Figure 4‐2 on page 4-4). Lift the panelstraight up to remove it from the panel hanger bracket at the top of the cabinet.6. Remove the screws securing the internal safety shield panel and remove thepanel. Retain the hardware for later use.7. To gain access to terminal blocks TB1 and the interface entry conduit landingplates, loosen the screws securing the small top internal safety shield panel andremove the panel. This panel is to the right of the X-Slot communication bays(see Figure 4‐13 on page 4-19).8. To locate the appropriate terminals and review the wiring and terminationrequirements, see paragraph 3.2.2 on page 3-7, Table 4‐1 on page 4-20, andFigure 4‐13 through Figure 4‐18.NOTE When installing shunt trip and battery aux interface wiring to the UPS interface terminals, conduitmust be installed between the UPS and battery cabinets or battery system.9. Remove the UPS cabinet interface entry conduit landing plates to drill or punchholes (see Figure 4‐4 on page 4-8).10. Reinstall the interface entry plates and install the conduit.11. If using an Eaton battery cabinet, proceed to Step 12; otherwise, proceed toStep 15.12. Route the shunt trip and battery aux wiring from the battery cabinet or batterydisconnect to the UPS cabinet. See Figure 4‐4 and Figure 4‐6 for UPS wiringaccess information and terminal locations. Refer to the Power Xpert 9395Integrated Battery Cabinet (Model IBC-L) Installation Manual, listed inparagraph 1.8 on page 1-10, for battery cabinet wiring access information andinstructions.13. Connect the wiring to TB1 terminals.14. Proceed to Step 18.15. Route the shunt trip and battery aux wiring from the battery cabinet or batterydisconnect to the UPS cabinet. See Figure 4‐4 and Figure 4‐6 for UPS wiringaccess information and terminal locations.16. Connect the wiring to the TB1 terminals.
