Use RECHARGE button to manuallyadvance the valve into each cycle andcheck correct switch operation. NOTE: Besure water is in contact with salt, and notseparated by a salt bridge (see Breaking aSalt Bridge section).5. While in this diagnostic screen, thefollowing information is available and maybe beneficial for various reasons. Thisinformation is retained by the computer fromthe first time electrical power is applied tothe electronic controller.a. Press the UP button to display thenumber of days this electronic control hashad electrical power applied.b. Press the DOWN button to display thenumber of regenerations initiated by theelectronic control since the code numberwas entered.6. Press and hold the MODE/SET button untilthe mode code (F30 for GXSH30V) showsin the display. This code identifies thesoftener mode. If an incorrect model codeis displayed, the softener will operate onincorrect configurations data.7. To change the code number, press theUP or DOWN button until the correctcode shows.8. To return to the present time display, pressthe MODE/SET button.9. Press the MODE/SET button to return tothe present time display. If the code waschanged, make all the timer setting.NOTE: If the control is left in a diagnosticdisplay or a flashing display whensetting times or hardness, present timeautomatically returns if a button is notpressed within four minutes.Switch is open Switch is closedWater Meter Figure 15
