CHAPTER 5: SETTINGS INPUTS/OUTPUTSL90 LINE CURRENT DIFFERENTIAL SYSTEM – INSTRUCTION MANUAL 5-4215DIRECT INPUT 1-1(8) DEFAULT — Selects the logic state of this particular bit used for this point if the local relay has justcompleted startup or the local communications channel is declared to have failed. Setting DIRECT INPUT 1-1(8) DEFAULT to“On” means that the corresponding local FlexLogic operand (DIRECT I/P 1-1(8)) has logic state “1” on relay startup or duringcommunications channel failure. When the channel is restored, the operand logic state reflects the actual state of thecorresponding remote direct output.5.9.5.3 Direct outputsSETTINGS INPUTS/OUTPUTS DIRECT DIRECT OUTPUTSThe relay provides eight direct outputs that are conveyed on communications channel 1 (numbered 1-1 through 1-8) andeight direct outputs that are conveyed on communications channel 2 (numbered 2-1 through 2-8). Each digital point in themessage must be programmed to carry the state of a specific FlexLogic operand. The settings are used to select theoperand that represents a specific function (as selected by the user) to be transmitted.Direct outputs 2-1 to 2-8 are functional in three-terminal systems.Figure 5-234: Direct inputs/outputs logic (example for L90 shown)5.9.6 Resetting5.9.6.1 Enhanced and standard front panelsSETTINGS INPUTS/OUTPUTS RESETTING DIRECT OUTPUTS DIRECT OUTPUT 1-1:OffRange: FlexLogic operand DIRECT OUTPUT 1-8:OffRange: FlexLogic operand DIRECT OUTPUT 2-1:OffRange: FlexLogic operand DIRECT OUTPUT 2-8:OffRange: FlexLogic operand RESETTING RESET OPERAND:OffRange: FlexLogic operand
