Line up the top cover and gently lower it until the latches snap into place at thetop left and top right corners of the printer compartment, just below the topcover, as shown in the following photograph.4. Turn the device over so the bottom cover is facing upward and tighten thescrews securing the bottom cover, as shown in the following photograph.5. Reinsert the battery.See step 6 through step 8 in “Replacing the Battery” on page 74 for instructions.6. Continue with the appropriate functional checkout procedure for this FRU.See “Functional Checkout” on page 129 for more information.ChassisThe chassis is located between the top and bottom covers. The PWA, power supply,and optional KISS pump are attached to it, and the printer module assembly is locatedbeneath it.The following sections describe two sets of procedures:• Detaching and reattaching the chassisUse these procedures to access the printer module assembly and to remove thebottom cover.• Remove and replace the chassisUse these procedures to replace the chassis FRU.Detaching the ChassisUse the following procedure to detach the chassis and PWA from the device in orderto access the printer assembly or to remove the bottom cover. For instructions on howto remove the chassis in order to replace it as a FRU, see “Removing the Chassis” onpage 86.1.
