A build-up of heat could damage theappliance or cause injury.9 CAUTIONDo not slide any accessories between the shelfpositions, or they may tip.Inserting accessoriesThe accessories feature a latching function. Thelatching function prevents tilting of accessories whenpulling them out. You must insert accessories in theoven interior correctly so that tilt protection will work.When inserting the rack, make sure▯ that the engaging lug (a) points downward▯ that the rack's safety clip is at the rear and top.Turning on1 Set the required heating mode using the functionselector. The chosen heating mode and the defaulttemperature are displayed.2 If you want to change the default temperature:set the required temperature with the rotaryselector.The preheating symbol ’ appears on the display. Thebar continuously shows the preheating status. When theset temperature is reached, a signal sounds and thepreheating symbol ’ goes off.Note: The oven interior lighting stays switched off at atemperature setting below 160° F (70°C).Switching off:Turn the function selector to 0.Quick heatWith the "Quick heat" function, your appliance reachesthe desired temperature particularly quickly in the topheat, bottom heat, and top/bottom heat types of heating.To ensure an even cooking result, do not place yourfood in the cooking compartment until "Quick heat" iscomplete and the ’ heat-up symbol goes out.Note: The "Quick heat" function is preset in the factorysettings. In the basic settings, you can select ’ Quickheat or “ Heat-up.Safety shut-offFor your protection, the appliance has a safety shut-offfeature. Every heating operation is switched off after 12hours if the appliance is not operated during this time. Amessage appears in the display.Exception:programming with the long-term timer.Turn the program selection to 0, after which you canoperate the appliance in the manner to which you areaccustomed.DD
