28Cleaning spongeThe enclosed cleaning sponge is very absorbent. Usethe cleaning sponge only for cleaning the cookingcompartment and for removing residual water from theevaporator dish.Wash the cleaning sponge thoroughly before using forthe first time. You can wash the cleaning sponge in thewashing machine (hot wash).Microfibre clothThe honeycomb microfibre cloth is particularly suitablefor cleaning sensitive surfaces such as glass, glassceramic, stainless steel or aluminium (part number00460770 from our after-sales service or from ouronline shop). It removes liquid and greasy deposits inone go.Cleaning aidThe cleaning aid loosens stubborn dirt in the cookingcompartment and makes cleaning easier.The cleaning aid consists of the cleaning step and tworinsing steps.Starting the cleaning aid1 Set the function selector to S.2 The ¢ symbol is displayed. Confirm with ™.3 Remove accessories and the grease filter from thecooking compartment. Remove the slide-in wireracks from the cooking compartment (see chapterRemoving the slide-in wire racks ). Wipe out the cookingcompartment with washing-up liquid solution.4 Fill the water tank with cold water up to the "max"mark and slide the tank into the tank compartment.Close the appliance door.5 The cleaning time of 30 minutes is displayed. Startwith I. The cleaning time counts down on thedisplay. The light in the cooking compartmentremains switched off.6 A signal sounds after 30 minutes.
