Apollo CNX80 Pilot’s Guide21Nav Radio (VOR)Press VOR to activate control of the internal Nav Radio. All other func-tions will continue to function normally, such as active flight plans.Note that distances, such as to a Localizer, are based on calculateddistances from GPS information.IDPress the ID key to toggle the Nav audio between Off, On and Voiceonly. The On selection is indicated by ID replacing the ACT annunciatorto the left of the Active frequency and pressing the ID key so ID is high-lighted. The Voice selection is indicated by VOX replacing the ACTannunciator to the left of the Active frequency. The ID function labelwill be partially highlighted when Voice is selected and fully highlightedwhen On is selected. The Monitor function is turned off when any IDmode is active.Monitor (MON)Press the MON key to toggle the Nav channel monitoring function.When monitor mode is active, a MON annunciator will appear on theleft side of the standby frequency, the standby radial replaces theactive identifier, and the MON function label will be highlighted.Frequency monitoring allows you to listen to the Standby VOR fre-quency while the CNX80 monitors the Active frequency for activity.When Active frequency receives a signal, you will hear the Active fre-quency until its activity stops. Pressing MON will be ignored for ILS fre-quencies. If Voice or ID functions are active, the Nav radio willtemporarily turn off the ID function until the Monitor function is turnedoff.Recall (RCL)1. Press the RCL key to bring up a list of the last eight VOR/ILS fre-quencies used as the Active frequency.2. Turn the Large knob to highlight a frequency.3. Press the keys to insert the frequency.4. Press the VOR key again if no choice is desired.Flip/FlopPress the <-> (flip/flop) key to swap the Active and Standby frequen-cies.Nav Radio
