Service and Repair Manual November 2016Ground Controls38 GS-2669 DC • GS-3369 DC • GS-4069 DC Part No. 1272220GT4-5 Level Sensor - M odels with Outriggers4-5Level Sensor - Models withOutriggersThe Electronic Control Module (ECM) isprogrammed to deactivate the lift and drivefunctions and activate an alarm when a signal isreceived from the level sensor. When the outriggers are stowed, the tilt alarmsounds when the incline of the chassis exceeds 2°to the side. When the outriggers are deployed, functions will bedisabled and and fault will be displayed when theincline of the chassis exceeds 0.8° to the side.At all times, the tilt alarm sounds when the inclineof the chassis exceeds 3° to the front or rear. How to Install the Outrigger LevelSensorTip-over hazard. Failure to installor calibrate the level sensor asinstructed will compromisemachine stability and cause themachine to tip over, resulting indeath or serious injury. Do notinstall or calibrate the levelsensor other than specified inthis procedure.Note: Perform this procedure with the machine ona firm, level surface that is free of obstructions.1 Turn the key switch to the off position andpush in the red Emergency Stop button to theoff position at both the ground and platformcontrols.2 Locate the level sensor in the ground controlscompartment.3 Tag and disconnect the wire harness from thelevel sensor.1 ground control box2 level sensor4 Remove the level sensor retaining fastenersand remove the level sensor from themachine.
