A dirtyor clogged filter may cause the machine to performpoorly and continued use may cause componentdamage. Extremely dirty conditions may requirethat the filter be replaced more often.Bodily injury hazard. Beware ofhot oil. Contact with hot oil maycause severe burns.Note: Perform this procedure with the engine off.1 Locate the hydraulic tank return filter.Note: Location and access may vary, depending onmodel.2 Release the pressure in the oil reservoir byloosening the filler/breather cap.3 Unscrew the return filter.4 Install the new filter element.5 Tighten the filler/breather cap.6 Record the hours the filter element wasreplaced and keep with your maintenancerecords.7 Start the engine.8 Inspect the filter assembly to be sure thatthere are no leaks.9 Clean up any oil that may have spilled duringthe installation procedure.A-6 R eplac e the C ab Air Intak e Filter Elem ent (if equi pped)A-6Replace the Cab Air Intake FilterElement (if equipped)Genie specifications require that this procedure beperformed annually.Perform this procedure more often if dustyconditions exist.Note: Location of the air intake access cover willvary, depending on specific models.1 Remove the fasteners securing the cab airintake access cover and remove the cover.2 Remove the air intake filter element.3 Install the new filter element.4 Re-install the cab air intake access cover.
