Test.• Open garage door using wall console.– Place a 2" x 4" board (laid flat) under center ofgarage door opening (Fig. 6-2).• Close garage door using wall console.• When door contacts board, the door muststop (within 2 seconds) and reverse directionreturning to open position.2. Adjustment.• If the door:– Stops before it contacts the 2 x 4 board, it maysimply be responding to an improperly setdown limit. Return to pages 6-7 and repeatsteps 1 through 10 to correct down limit.– Stops after contacting the 2 x 4 board anddoes not reverse, it may need an adjustmentto the down limit. Return to pages 6-7 andrepeat steps 1 through 10 to correct downlimit.• Test again. Repeat as necessary until doorreverses upon contacting board.
