If a jibboom bellcrank angle sensor is replaced, it must becalibrated prior to machine operation. The jib boombellcrank angle sensor is mounted to the bellcrankpivot pin on the engine side of the machine.How to Calibrate the Jib BoomBellcrank Angle SensorNote: If the primary boom angle sensor has beenremoved or replaced, it must to be calibratedbefore the jib boom bellcrank angle sensor. Referto Repair Procedure, How to Calibrate the PrimaryBoom Angle Sensor.Note: Perform this procedure with the machine ona firm, level surface and in the stowed position withthe axles extended.Note: A digital level will be required to perform thisprocedure.Note: A kit is available through Genie ProductSupport (Genie part number 58351). This kitincludes a digital level with a magnetic base andcable harnesses.Note: Use the following chart to identify thedescription of each LCD screen control button usedin this procedure.Plus Minus Previous Enter1 Place a digital level with a magnetic base, onthe underside of the jib bellcrank as shown inIllustration 1.Illustration 11 digital level2 Raise the jib boom to a slightly less thanhorizontal position.3 Push in the ground controls red EmergencyStop button to the off position. Do not turn thekey switch to the off position.4 Open the ground control box.
