All connections must betorqued to specification during installation. Refer toSpecifications, Hydraulic Hose and Fitting TorqueSpecifications.1 Tag and disconnect the cables from theauxiliary pump.Electrocution/burn hazard.Contact with electrically chargedcircuits could result in death orserious injury. Remove all rings,watches and other jewelry.2 Close the hydraulic shutoff valve located at thehydraulic tank.Component damage hazard.The engine must not be startedwith the hydraulic tank shut-offvalves in the closed position orcomponent damage will occur. Ifthe tank valves are closed,remove the key from the keyswitch and tag the machine toinform personnel of thecondition.3 Tag, disconnect and plug the hydraulic hosesfrom the pump. Cap the fittings on the pump.Bodily injury hazard. Sprayinghydraulic oil can penetrate andburn skin. Loosen hydraulicconnections very slowly to allowthe oil pressure to dissipategradually. Do not allow oil tosquirt or spray.4 Remove the pump mounting bolts from thepump. Carefully remove the pump from theelectric motor.Component damage hazard. Besure to open the two hydraulictank valves and prime the pumpafter installing the pump.
