Once programmed, a macrowill send out up to eight different remote codes ina pre-determined order enabling you to automatethe process of turning on your system, changingdevices, or other common tasks. Note that onlythose buttons can be used for creating macrosthat are preprogrammed with codes for thedevice selected (corresponding Device Selectorbutton must light up if function button ispressed). The AVR’s remote can store two sepa-rate macro command sequences, one that is asso-ciated with the AVR Selector Button 1 (calledMacro 1 in the following), another associatedwith the SAT Device Selector button #(called Macro 2).To program a macro into the Power button followthese steps:1. Press either the AVR 1 or the SAT DeviceSelector button # depending on if Macro 1or 2 should be programmed, and the Mutebutton 5 at the same time until the red lightunder the Device Control Selector turns on.2. Press the Power button 3.3. Enter up to eight steps for the macro sequenceby pressing the Selector button 12# forthe device to be controlled (needed also for theAVR itself) and then pressing the button for theactual command step.
