| Hardware Configurations| This section shows the relationship between the number of disk drive modules and the| number of fan-and-power-supply assemblies that are present in a 7133.| Models 010 and 500The table in this section shows the possible configurations for Models 010 and 500.Configuration Number ofDisk DriveModulesWithout Redundant Power and Cooling:Must Have:With Redundant Power and Cooling:Must Have:Base 4 Base configuration always has redundantpower and cooling. 2 fan-and-power-supply assemblies inpositions 3 and 2 Dummy fan-and-power-supply assemblyin position 1 Dummy disk drive modules in all slotsthat do not contain disk drive modulesExpanded 5–8 2 fan-and-power-supply assemblies inpositions 3 and 2 Dummy fan-and-power-supply assemblyin position 1 Dummy disk drive modules in all slotsthat do not contain disk drive modules 3 fan-and-power-supply assemblies Dummy disk drive modules in all slotsthat do not contain disk drive modulesMaximum 9–16 Maximum configuration always hasredundant power and cooling. 3 fan-and-power-supply assemblies Dummy disk drive modules in all slotsthat do not contain disk drive modulesAttention: Errors occur if a dummy fan-and-power-supply assembly or a realfan-and-power-supply assembly is not present in position 1.If a 7133 is in base or expanded configuration, and does not need a fan-and-power-supplyassembly in position 1, it must have a dummy fan-and-power-supply assembly installed atthat position. The dummy fan-and-power-supply assembly contains the necessaryjumpers to provide power to the redundant power paths of the disk drive modules, and toprovide fan status for the missing fan. A dummy fan-and-power-supply assembly can bepresent only in position 1.| Models 020 and 600| Models 020 and 600 always have three fan-and-power-supply assemblies.1-12 7133 Service Guide
