234 IBM Power Systems 775 for AIX and Linux HPC Solution3.5.1 LoadLevelerLoadLeveler uses file-based or database-based configuration. To determine whichconfiguration is used, check the contents of the /etc/LoadL.cfg file. For a file-based configuration, the value in the keyword LoadLConfig specifies the location ofthe global configuration file. We view the values in this file and the files that are specified inLOCAL_CONFIG and ADMIN_FILE keywords to see the configuration values. For a database-based configuration, the value in the keyword LoadLDB specifies thedatabase that contains the configuration tables. We use the llconfig command or theconfiguration editor to view the configuration values. When a database-based configuration isused, /etc/LoadL.cfg file on compute nodes contains the keyword LoadLConfigHosts, whichindicates the nodes that include database access and are used to serve the configuration tothis compute node. For more information, see Table 3-1 on page 158.3.5.2 GPFSWe list the GPFS cluster configurations by using the GPFS commands that are shown inTable 3-9 on page 232. By using these commands, it is possible to collect data for support(gpfs.snap) and list the backups of GPFS configuration (mmlssnapshot), and licenseinformation (mmlslicense). For more information, see Table 3-1 on page 158.3.5.3 xCATThe xCAT internal database for an IBM Power Systems 775 cluster uses IBM DB2, whichfeatures commands that list and edit the configuration of the database. The more commoncommands are listed in Table 3-9 on page 232 (xCAT row). For more information, seeTable 3-1 on page 158.Examples and details are provided for the following commands: lsdef lsxcatdTEAL cat /etc/teal/*.conf(gpfs.conf)(isnm.conf)(ll.conf)(pnsd.conf)(sfp.conf)(teal.conf)Configuration files for TEAL subsystem andconnectors.AIX:- /var/lock/teal.pid- /var/lock/teal_ll.pidLinux:- /var/locks/teal.pid- /var/locks/teal_ll.pidLock files for TEAL daemon and LoadLevelerconnector, on AIX and Linux.Component Command (AIX/Linux) Description
