If you follow all of the steps in this procedure, youcompletely disassemble the ThinkPad 701C/701CS.However, for some replacement operations, you may notneed to completely disassemble the ThinkPad701C/701CS. In those situations, the relative sequence ofsteps in this procedure is important. The hard disk drive is sensitive to physicalshock. Incorrect handling can damage it and causepermanent loss of data on the hard disk.
