Gentlywipe the film with a dry, softcloth, such as a lens cleaner.2. LCD Cover3. Diagnose the LCD assembly byfollowing “LCD RelatedSymptoms” on page 336.Note: The customer may beresponsible for repair costs if the LCDcover was damaged due to misuse,excessive force, scratch, or liquidspilled by the customer.The computerhas anintermittentproblem whenyou use it on theoverheadprojector.Problem such as high environmentaltemperature might be the cause.Use the stand supplied with thecomputer.The remotecontrol does notwork.1. Check that two AAA alkalinebatteries are installed in theremote control.2. Check that two AAA alkalinebatteries in the remote control areat their normal energy (voltage)level.3. Enable the IR port of the computerwith the ThinkPad Featuresprogram. (Disable the serial portat this time.)4. Refer to the trouble shootingsection in the Help menu of theMind Path Presentation F/Xprogram. Set up this programfollowing the guide.5. If the preceding items are correct,the radiation from the light of theoverhead projector might beinterfering the IR port of thecomputer. Disable the rear IRport of the computer, and use theremote control with the front IRport.6. Use the remote control withanother computer, which IR portworks normally.
