Events that cause the computer to enter the suspendmode. Suspend mode is requested by pressing the Fn key(Fn+F4). The LCD is closed. The keyboard is opened. The specified time has elapsed from the lastoperation with the keyboard, mouse, hard disk drive,parallel connector, diskette drive, or the AC Adapter isplugged in. The time is specified bySuspend Timerin the ThinkPad Features program. The battery condition is low. The battery powerindicator blinks (orange).The PS2 OFF command is set in the ThinkPadFeatures program.Events that cause the computer to exit the suspend mode(resume or hibernate). (Resume) The LCD is opened. (Resume) The keyboard is closed. (Resume) Real time clock alarm signaled. (Resume) Ring indicator (RI) signaled by serial orPCMCIA device. (Resume) The Fn key is pressed. (Hibernate) Timer conditions are satisfied to enter thehibernation mode.Hibernation Mode: When in hibernation mode, thefollowing occurs. The system status, RAM, VRAM, and setup data arestored on the hard disk. The system is powered-off.The computer cannot enter the hibernation mode if thecomputer is powered with ac power and one of thefollowing IBM PC cards is used.
