Appendix B. UEFI/POST diagnostic codesUEFI/POST diagnostic error codes can be generated when the server starts orwhile the server is running. UEFI/POST codes are logged in the IMM event log inthe server.For each event code, the following fields are displayed:Event identifierAn identifier that uniquely identifies an event.Event descriptionThe logged message string that appears for an event.ExplanationAdditional information to explain why the event occurred.SeverityAn indication of the level of concern for the condition. The severity isabbreviated in the event log to the first character. The following severitiescan be displayed.Table 29. Event severity levelsSeverity DescriptionInformational An informational message is something that was recorded foraudit purposes, usually a user action or a change of states that isnormal behavior.Warning A warning is not as severe as an error, but if possible, thecondition should be corrected before it becomes an error.
