13• Stubborn soils – scrub with scouringpowder. (Do not use abrasive cleaners,scouring pads or place in a self-cleanoven.) If cleaning powders block gas portson burner ring, clean with a straight pin.To replace parts after cleaning:1) ported burner ring - align the slot onthe bottom of the ring with the locat-ing post on the burner base. Theburner ring and burner base must bein complete contact.MAINTENANCEO VEN DOORDoor Hinge RollerLock(Close)Unlock2) burner cap - place on top of theburner tube.S URFACE BURNER IGNITORS• Clean around ignitor carefully. Avoidcatching the ignitor with cleaning cloth. Ifignitor is damaged, the surface burnerwill NOT light.S URFACE BURNER GRATES(PORCELAIN ON CAST IRON )• Wash in the dishwasher or in soap andwater with a plastic scrubber.• Do not operate the burners without apan on the grate. The porcelain finish onthe grate may chip without a pan toabsorb the intense heat.• Grates will become dull and may discolorover time from the heat. This is normal.CAUTION:• NEVER place excessive weight on orstand on an open oven door. Thiscould cause the range to tip over,break the door, or injure the user.• NEVER attempt to open or closedoor or operate oven until door isproperly replaced.If the oven door comes off track, realign byfollowing this simple procedure:1. Open the door and hold it all the wayopen.2. Lock the hinge latches (see illustration),and gently lift the door up and partiallyout until the door is evenly aligned.3. Evenly slide the door back into place andcheck to be sure the hinges rest in thecenter of each door hinge roller.4. With the oven door fully open, unlockhinge latches and close.O VEN LIGHT BULBBefore replacing bulb, disconnect power tooven at the main fuse or circuit breaker panel.Be sure that the oven cavity, including thelight bulb, is cool.TO REPLACE LIGHT BULB:1. Carefully unscrewthe glass bulb cover.2. To obtain firm graspon bulb, wear pro-tective rubbergloves. Turn bulb tothe left. Do nottouch a hot oven bulb with a damp clothas it will break.Note: If the bulb breaks, be certainpower supply is disconnected andwear protective gloves when remov-ing. Contact an authorized Jenn-AirServicer, if needed.3. Replace bulb with a 40 watt oven-ratedappliance bulb. Bulb with brass base isrecommended.4. Replace bulb cover and reconnect powerto oven.REMOVAL OF GASAPPLIANCEGas appliance connectors used to connectthis appliance to the gas supply are notdesigned for continuous movement. Onceinstalled, DO NOT repeatedly move thisgas appliance for cleaning or to relocate. Ifthis appliance has to be moved and/orremoved for servicing, follow the proce-dure described in the installation instruc-tions.
