The hot air fromthe vent may ignite flammable items and may increasepressure in closed containers which may cause them toburst.Many aerosol-type spray cans are EXPLOSIVE whenexposed to heat and may be highly flammable. Avoidtheir use or storage near an appliance.Many plastics are vulnerable to heat. Keep plastics awayfrom parts of the appliance that may become warm orhot. Do not leave plastic items on the cooktop as theymay melt or soften if left too close to the vent or a lightedsurface burner.To eliminate the hazard of reaching over hot surfaceburners, cabinet storage should not be provided directlyabove a unit.
