34 | KDC-X8019BT/ KDC-X8019BTLClock and Other FunctionsTheft Deterrent FaceplateThe faceplate of the unit can be detached andtaken with you, helping to deter theft.Removing the Faceplate1 Press the Release button.Drop open the faceplate.2 Drawing the faceplate to left side pull it toforward and remove it.¤• The faceplate is a precision piece of equipment and canbe damaged by shocks or jolts.• Keep the faceplate in its faceplate case while detached.• Do not expose the faceplate (and the faceplate case) todirect sunlight or excessive heat or humidity. Also avoidplaces with too much dust or the possibility of watersplashing.Reattaching the Faceplate3 Align the shaft on the unit with the depressionon the faceplate.4 Push the faceplate in until it clicks.The faceplate is locked in place, allowing you touse the unit.Demonstration mode SettingTurning the demonstration mode ON/OFF.1 Enter Menu List modePress the [MENU] button.2 Enter Demonstration mode settingTurn the [VOL] knob and press it when thedesired item is displayed.Select “DEMO Mode”.3 Set the Demonstration modeTurn the [VOL] knob and press it when thedesired item is displayed.Select “ON” or “OFF”.4 Exit Menu List modePress the [MENU] button.
