1-34 (No.RA018)SECTION 4ADJUSTMENT4.1 F2,F3,K2,K3 TYPE Controls4.1.1 Preparations for checking/tuning the transceiverBefore attempting to check/tune the transceiver, connect the unitto a suitable power supply.Whenever the transmitter is turned on, the unit must be connect-ed to a suitable dummy load (i.e. power meter).The speaker output connector must be terminated with an 8Ωdummy load and connected to an AC voltmeter and an audio dis-tortion meter or a SINAD measurement meter at all times duringchecking/tuning.4.2 Panel Test Mode4.2.1 Test mode operation featuresThis transceiver has a test mode. To enter test mode, press andhold the [ ] key while turning the transceiver power ON orpress the [ ] key and select the “Panel Test”. Before the trans-ceiver enters test mode, the frequency version information ap-pears on the LCD momentarily. Test mode can be inhibited byprogramming. To exit test mode, turn the transceiver power OFF.The following functions are available in test mode.• When the panel test mode is activated, the channel selectedwith the [Selector] knob and the last used signaling number aredisplayed.
