1. BEFORE OPERATIONTo prevent electric shock, fire and otherinjury, please note the following:Never remove the case unless instructed to doin this Instruction Manual. If the internalparts are touched accidentally, a seriouselectric shock might occur.Do not place this unit where it will be exposedto direct sunlight or close to heatingappliances.Do not place anything on top of the cabinet.To ensure good ventilation, do not putanything on top of the cabinet and allow atleast 15 cm (6 inches) of space behind the unit.The power requirement is 13.8 VDC.Never attempt connection to a 24 VDC source.Do not place the unit in areas of excessive dust,high humidity or on unstable surfaces.Do not drop pieces of metal, needles, coins andother electrically conductive materials into theunit.Do not touch the power plug, when your handsare wet.If an abnormal odor or smoke is detected,immediately turn the power off. Contact theKENWOOD service station or your dealer.Cleaning1. Turn the power off before cleaning the unit.2. Do not use any type of abrasive pad, thinner, benzineor any substances which may damage the unit.3. Wipe the front panel and other exterior surfaces ofthe unit with a soft dry cloth or a soft cloth lightlymoistened with water.
