21Using ReceiverHow Do I Adjust the Sound?Input Modes:The listen mode should usually be set to Full Auto. However, the listenmode can also be set manually when you want to fix the inputs as analogsignals, etc. (see "To Set the Input Mode manually" on page 22).FULL AUTO : The receiver detects the input signal format auto-matically and switches itself accordingly. Usuallyselect this mode.DIGITAL-AUTO : The inputs are fixed at digital signals and the listenmodes are switched automatically.DIGITAL-MANUAL : The inputs are fixed at digital signals and the listenmodes should be switched manually by the user.The DIGITAL-AUTO and DIGITAL-MANUALmodes are switched automatically to the FULLAUTO mode when an input is switched or the re-ceiver is set to OFF.ANALOG : The inputs are fixed at the analog 2-channel inputs.6CH INPUT : The inputs are fixed at the analog 6-channel inputs.This mode can be selected only when the DVD in-put is selected with the input selector.• If you turn off the receiver or select a different source device the DIGI-TAL-AUTO or DIGITAL-MANUAL is reset to “FULL AUTO”.• When you use DIGITAL-AUTO or FULL AUTO mode with certainDVD and LD players, performing operations such as “Skip” or “Stop”may momentarily interrupt the output.
