1-4-1 T1102PFSPREPARATION FOR SERVICINGHow to Enter the Service ModeCaution 1:1. Optical sensors system are used for Tape Startand End Sensor on this equipment. Read thispage carefully and prepare as described on thispage before starting to service; otherwise, the unitmay operate unexpectedly.Preparing 1:1. Cover Q202 (START SENSOR) and Q201 (ENDSENSOR) with Insulation Tape or enter theservice mode to activate Sensor Inhibitionautomatically.Note: Avoid playing, rewinding or fast forwarding thetape to its beginning or end, because bothTape End Sensors are not active.How to Enter the Service Mode1. Turn power on.2. Use service remote control unit and press [DISCMENU] button. (See page 1-7-1.)3. When entering the service mode, one of thenumber (1, 2 or 4) will display at corners of thescreen.4. During the service mode, electrical adjustmentmode can be selected by remote control key.(Service remote control unit).Details are as follows.Caution 2:1. The deck mechanism assembly is mounted on theMain CBA directly, and SW1211 (REC-SAFETYSW) is mounted on the Main CBA. When deckmechanism assembly is removed from the MainCBA due to servicing, this switch can not beoperated automatically.Preparing 2:1. To eject the tape, press the [STOP/EJECT] buttonon the unit (or Remote Control).2. When you want to record during the Servicemode, press the [Rec] button while depressingSW1211 (REC-SAFETY SW) on the Main CBA.Key Adjustment ModePICTUREPicture adjustment mode: Press the[PICTURE] button to change from BRT(Bright), *CNT (Contrast), *COL (Color),*TNT(Tint), *V-TNT(V-Tint) and *SHP(Sharpness).
