1-6-2 T0102DCReference Notes in the TableCAUTION!When removing the CRT, be sure to discharge theAnode Lead of the CRT with the CRT Ground Wirebefore removing the Anode Cap.1. CAUTION 1: Discharge the Anode Lead of theCRT with the CRT Ground Wire before removingthe Anode Cap.Disconnect the following: Anode Cap, CN2501,CRT CBA, CN1601, CN1802, CN2571 andCN2801. Then remove Tray Chassis Unit.2. CAUTION 2: Electrostatic breakdown of the laserdiode in the optical system block may occur as apotential difference caused by electrostatic chargeaccumulated on cloth, human body etc., duringunpacking or repair work.To avoid damage of pickup follow next procedures.1) Disconnect Connector (CN301) on the DVDMain CBA Unit.2) Short the three short lands of FPC cable withsolder before removing the FFC cable (CN201)from it. If you disconnect the FFC cable(CN201), the laser diode of pickup will bedestroyed. (Fig. D4)3) Remove four screws (S-5) and Wire Holder C,and remove DVD Mechanism.3. CAUTION 3: When reassembling, confirm theFFC cable (CN201) is connected completely. Thenremove the solder from the three short lands ofFPC cable. (Fig. D4)4. Remove three screws (S-9) and remove TopShield. Remove screws 7(S-10), (S-11) and (S-12).
