Go Home FeatureThe “Go Home” feature will enable the navigation lights (bow and tower) to illuminatewhenever the driver uses the hard-key to start the engine instead of the touch screen.BatteryA minimum of 650 cold cranking amps is the recommended battery size.Do not connectbattery cables toincorrect Terminal Post ±. Doingso may cause a reverse polaritycurrent to run through yourelectrical system and causedamage to your engine and otherelectrical components. Damagedone to your boat due toincorrect terminal placement isnot covered under your Malibuwarranty.Check your battery terminals frequentlyfor corrosion and tightness. Cleanterminals with a baking soda and watersolution and a wire brush. Also, checkthe fluid levels in the cells. Usually, alevel approximately 1/4 to 1/2 in. abovethe plates is sufficient. If needed, fill with distilled water. Some batteries are sealed andthis process is not necessary. Read directions when applicable.Electrical Distribution-Battery Switches:All main engine battery cables are the larger, 2/0 size. Always use a Starter/Crankingbattery, minimum size of 650 Cold Cranking Amps on the big cable. This is the starter orcranking circuit. There are also a set of smaller #2 AWG battery cables with the positive/red coming froman 80-AMP main circuit breaker (on the smaller boats, a #6 AWG cable and a 60-AMPmain breaker). These smaller cables are the feeder circuit to the boats breakers andswitches. These are referred as the House circuit.#1 on a Single Battery System:Both the cranking circuit and the house circuit are connected to the same battery. Onebattery running everything all connected together.KC-0151C-AVENT CAPMAXIMUMLIQUIDLEVELMINIMUMLIQUIDLEVELPLATESTERMINALPOSTVENT WELL4-9Figure 4-8. Battery Level
