TachometerLocated to the left side of the dash panel, thetachometer registers the operating speed of yourengine in revolutions per minute (RPM). This gaugeis used to provide you with information needed toensure the engine is kept within the enginemanufacturer’s recommended proper range ofoperation. For your additional benefit, there are otherRPM monitoring capabilities available in your dashsystem that will be explained later in this manual.Also included in the gauge panel are additionaldigital readings for oil, volt and hour meter. Thesystem defaults to these readings from the displaypanel and no adjustments are possible. Be sure toconsult your engine manual for the correct range ofoperation for your particular engine model.Do not operate your boat beyond the recommended RPMrange. This could cause irreversible problems, and may notbe covered under your engine warranty.SpeedometerThe Speedometer registers speed in miles per hour(MPH). The speedometer system consists of a thru-hullpaddle wheel speed sensor that records watermovement which sends information to a computerlocated under the dash. The speedometer readings canalso be found in the digital display window of the In-Dash graphical display located in the center of thegauge panel. Additional information will be explainedlater in this manual for this display. The speedometer iscalibrated from the factory and does not normallyrequire adjustment. However, from time to time it maybe necessary to recalibrate. To calibrate thespeedometer, see Speedometer Calibration in thismanual. Also included in the speedometer gauge panelare additional digital readings for depth, air and laketemperatures.
