1 POWER BUTTON: Press this button or the HTR 7 remote’s [ON] buttonto switch ON the VISO FIVE. The Standby LED indicator will turn fromamber to blue and illuminate the VFD. Pressing the power button againor HTR 7’s [OFF] button turns the unit back to standby mode.Note that when you do choose to switch OFF to standby using the frontpanel Power button, the VISO FIVE’s memory back-up system will storechannel level, tuner preset, and other settings for several weeks whilethe unit is switched off.Pressing the [OPEN/CLOSE] button on the front-panel or the HTR 7remote’s [ ] button will switch ON the VISO FIVE from standby modeand at the same time open the disc tray.NOTEIt takes around 10 seconds for VISO FIVE to switch to full standby modewhen it is powered OFF from source inputs other than DVD mode. In thiscondition, it also takes around 10 seconds for the standby LED to switchfrom blue to amber color.2 STANDBY LED: This indicator will light up amber when the VISO FIVEis in standby state. When the VISO FIVE is at ON state, this indicator willilluminate blue.3 NAVIGATION AND ENTER BUTTONS: The navigation buttons[PRESET / ] / [TUNE / ] in conjunction with the [ENTER]button allows one to navigate the OSD, title and menu options.In AM/FM/XM mode, use [PRESET / ] to step up or downbetween radio presets. “Unused” presets are skipped over. Note thatPresets must have been previously stored. Refer also to the item on“SETTING RADIO PRESET” under “OPERATION - USING THE VISO FIVE– AM/FM/DB/iPod” discussions.Pressing momentarily the [TUNE / ] button will manually scan theAM or FM band. Press and hold for more than 2 seconds to search up ordown; the VISO FIVE’s tuner will stop at the next sufficiently strong signal itencounters. Note that this function, too, “wraps” and will continue searchingup or down from one end of the AM or FM band to the other.At DVD mode, press [ ] to skip forward or [ ] to skip backward atrack, file or chapter. Press [ / ] during disc playback to select thedesired scanning speed.When setting up the Timer, use the [ / ] buttons to change thehours and minutes.4 MENU: Press this button to bring up the DVD disc menu during DVDdisc playback, stop, pause or stop-resume mode. At FM/XM/DAB mode,the MENU button also functions the same way as that of TUNER MODEbutton. See also TUNER MODE description below.5 DISPLAY: At TUNER mode, toggle this multifunction button to displayat the VFD relevant information of a currently tuned FM, XM or DABstation.At CABLE/SAT, VCR or Front source mode, toggle DISPLAY button toselect optical, coaxial audio input or the assigned analog audio input ofthe particular source.When in DVD mode, toggle DISPLAY button to alternatively display thegeneral disc playback status of the DVD display navigation menu.6 MEMORY: Use to store tuned stations to the VISO FIVE’s preset-memorylocations. Refer also to the item on “SETTING RADIO PRESET” under“OPERATION - USING THE VISO FIVE – AM/FM/DB/iPod” discussions.7 REMOTE SENSOR: Point the HTR 7 remote control at the remotesensor and press the buttons. Do not expose the remote sensor of theVISO FIVE to a strong light source such as direct sunlight or illumination.If you do so, you may not be able to operate the VISO FIVE with theremote control.Distance: About 23ft (7m) from the front of the remote sensor.Angle: About 30o in each direction of the front of the remote sensor.8 VACUUM FLUORESCENT DISPLAY (VFD): Provides visualinformation about the unit’s important modes, settings, functions,status of the current source like disc playback time and other indicators.9 TIMER ON/OFF: In combination with [PRESET / ] and[MEMORY] buttons, press and hold or toggle to set the internal clock,ON/OFF timer as well as enable the timer modes.
