(The above screen illustration depicts the phone instandby mode.) The standby mode remains displayed until a callis placed or received, a menu is accessed, or the phone is pow-ered off.Signal StrengthThe cellular signal is indicated on the display as ;( with themaximum of six bars indicating a strong signal. Although youcan use the phone without extending the phone antenna,extending the antenna can increase the strength of the receivedcellular signal.Battery Charge IndicatorThe battery charge indicator ( + ) shows the charge level of thebattery. When the battery charge drops to a low level, the phonedisplays the following warning message:RECHARGE BATTERYWhile displaying the recharge notification, the phone alsosounds a double beep up to six times at 10-second intervals.The phone then automatically powers off.
