A user with aPrivate Line always knows when important calls are for them. Additionally, the user has their own trunkfor placing calls that is not available to others in the system.ConditionsP Incoming Only – The multiline terminal has a Private Line only for incoming calls. The usercannot place calls on the Private Line.P Outgoing Only – The multiline terminal has a Private Line only for outgoing calls. ThePrivate Line does not ring for incoming calls.P Both Ways – The multiline terminal has a Private Line for both incoming and outgoing calls.P Private Lines do not follow Call Forwarding if not Direct Inward Line (DIL).P Other programmed options for outgoing calls also affect a Prime Line.P Calls to extensions with DND active do not follow Call Forwarding programming. DirectInward Line (DIL) calls ring an idle Department Group member, then follow Program 22-08then Program 22-05.P An extension user can have Line Preference options applied to their Private Line.P A Private Line can also be a Prime Line.P You should always program a line key for each Private Line.P Private Lines are available on single line telephones.P Private Lines follow normal Toll Restriction.P An extension user can transfer their Private Line.
