Managing ImagesMenu Guide—The Playback Menu131Ordering Prints: Print SetThe Print Set option is used to create a digital“print order” that specifies the photographs tobe printed, the number of prints, and the infor-mation to be included on each print. This infor-mation is stored on the memory card in DigitalPrint Order Format (DPOF). Once a print orderhas been created, the memory card can be re-moved from the camera and inserted in a DPOF-compatible device—be it apersonal photo printer or a photofinisher’s print system—and images printeddirectly from the card.OKCancel OrderPrint SetPLAYBACK MENUTaking Pictures for Direct PrintingWhen taking images to be printed without modification, set the Color Mode option inthe shooting menu to I (sRGB) or III (sRGB) ( 60, 142).DPOFDPOF is an industry-wide standard that allows pictures to be printed from print ordersstored on the memory card. Before printing the images, check that the printer or printservice supports DPOF. Even without access to a DPOF-compatible device, you can stillprint images using Nikon View 5 if your computer is connected to a color printer.
