169Taking Photos in Movie ModeIf Take photos is selected for Custom Setting g4(Assign shutter button, 0 288) and live view isenabled with the live view selector is rotated to 1,photographs can be taken at any time by pressing theshutter-release button all the way down. If movie recording is inprogress, recording will end and the footage recorded to thatpoint will be saved. The photograph will be recorded at thecurrent image area setting using a crop with an aspect ratio of16 : 9. Image quality is determined by the option selected forImage quality in the photo shooting menu (0 77, 268). Notethat exposure for photographs can not be previewed while thelive view selector is rotated to 1; for accurate results whenshooting in mode M, rotate the selector to C, adjust exposure,and then rotate the selector back to 1 and start live view.
