58Long Time-Exposures (M Mode Only)Select the following shutter speeds forlong time-exposures of moving lights,the stars, night scenery, or fireworks.• Bulb (A): The shutter remains openwhile the shutter-release button is helddown. To prevent blur, use a tripod oran optional wireless remote controller(0 160, 319) or remote cord (0 319).• Time (%): Start the exposure using theshutter-release button on the camera or on an optional remotecontrol, remote cord, or wireless remote controller. The shutterremains open until the button is pressed a second time.Before proceeding, mount the camera on a tripod or place it ona stable, level surface. To prevent light entering via theviewfinder from appearing in the photograph or interfering withexposure, remove the rubber eyecup and cover the viewfinderwith the supplied eyepiece cap (0 70). Note that noise (brightspots, randomly-spaced bright pixels, or fog) may be present inlong exposures.
