3254 Press J.The message shown at right will bedisplayed in the monitor and a row ofdashes will appear in the controlpanel and viewfinder. To restorenormal operation without inspectingthe image sensor, turn the camera off.5 Raise the mirror.Press the shutter-release button allthe way down. The mirror will beraised and the shutter curtain willopen, revealing the image sensor.The display in the viewfinder willturn off and the row of dashes in thecontrol panel will flash.6 Examine the image sensor.Holding the camera so that light fallson the image sensor, examine thesensor for dust or lint. If no foreignobjects are present, proceed to Step 8.
