OFF-HOOK SIGNALINGWith Off-Hook Signaling, a user can send an off-hook indi-cation to a busy extension. This tells the busy extensionuser that another call is waiting. Off-Hook Signaling helpsimportant callers get through — without waiting in line forthe called extension to become free. There are two types of Off-Hook Signaling: CO Off-HookSignaling and Intercom Off-Hook Signaling. With CO Off-Hook Signaling, an incoming CO call will sendmuted ringing to your phone if you are on a handset call orone short burst of tones if on a Handsfree Intercom call.Intercom Off-Hook Signaling lets an extension user send asignal to a busy extension, then wait for a reply. The signalis one short burst of tones, which comes over the speaker ofthe busy extension. In addition, the ICM key at the busyextension flashes. The busy extension user can choose notto reply to the signal if it is inconvenient to do so.Signals can be sent manually or automatically. The manualtype requires the user to dial a code to send the signal, while the automatic type sends a signal any time a usercalls a busy extension. Intercom Off-Hook Signaling cannotbe sent to a busy extension when it is using HandsfreeAnswerback.Conditions: NoneDefault Configuration: Off-Hook Signaling disabled.ProgrammingRequired ProgrammingProgram 4 - Extension Options (1) - [B.] CO Off-HookSignaling / Program 4 - Extension Options (1) - [C.]Intercom Off-Hook SignalingEnable or disable Off-Hook Signaling for CO calls [0=dis-abled, 1=enabled] and enable or disable an extension’s abili-ty to send ICM Off-Hook Signaling [0=disabled, 1=manual-ly signalled, 2=automatically signalled when busy].Other ProgrammingNone824+ Available308+ Available112
