CALLBACKWhen an extension user calls a busy extension, the usermay leave a Callback request for a return call. The userdoes not have to repeatedly call the busy extension back, hoping to find it idle. The system processes Callbacks as follows:l Caller at extension A leaves a Callback at busy extensionB. Caller A can place or answer calls while waiting forthe Callback. When placing calls, Caller A must preselecta line key or ICM key before lifting the handset.l When caller B becomes idle (for at least four seconds),the system rings caller A.l Caller B can place or answer additional calls before theCallback rings and not affect the Callback.l Once caller A answers the Callback ring, the system rings(formerly busy) caller B. If caller A does not answer theCallback ring (within twenty seconds - this is fixed and isnot able to be changed), the Callback is canceled.l As soon as caller B answers, the system sets up an Intercomcall between A and B. If caller A places another call, thesystem reinstates the Callback when caller B hangs up.Conditions(A.) A power failure or system reset cancels all Callbackrequests.(B.) An extension can only receive one Callback request. Ifany other extensions try to leave a Callback request, they will receive an error tone.Default Configuration: Callback allowed.ProgrammingRequired ProgrammingNoneOther ProgrammingProgram 4 - Extension Options (1) - [C.] Intercom Off-Hook SignalingEnable or disable the ability to Off-Hook Signal [0=dis-abled, 1=manually signalled, 2=automatically signalledwhen busy].(Continued on next page)824+ Available308+ Available43
