Using thecertificates can help you improve thesecurity of connections betweenyour phone and a WAP gateway orWAP server, if the Connectionsecurity is set to On.You can download an authoritycertificate from a WAP page, if theWAP service supports the use ofauthority certificates. After thedownload, you can view thecertificate and then save or delete it.If you save the certificate, it is addedto the certificate list in the phone.The phone indicates if the identity ofthe WAP server or WAP gatewaycannot be verified, if the WAP serveror WAP gateway certificate is notauthentic or if you do not have thecorrect authority certificate in yourphone.Viewing the list of authoritycertificatesPress Menu, select Services, andSettings. Select Authoritycertificates.See also Security info in ”Using thephone keys while browsing” on page61.Security indicatorThe security indicator is displayedduring a WAP connection, if the datatransmission between the phone andthe WAP gateway or WAP server(identified by the IP address in theEdit active service settings) isencrypted.It is up to the service provider tosecure the data transmissionbetween the gateway and thecontent server.■ SIM services(Menu 14)In addition to thefunctions available on the phone,your SIM card may provideadditional services that you canaccess in menu 14. Menu 14 isshown only if it is supported by yourSIM card. The name and contents ofthe menu depend entirely on theservice available.
