In this case, thenames and numbers will be savedin the phone’s memory.• Contacts view to select how thenames, numbers and images incontacts are displayed.• Memory status to view howmuch free memory is availablefor both memories for contacts.Saving names and phonenumbers (Add contact)Names and numbers will be saved inthe memory in use, see ”Selectingsettings for contacts” above.1. Press Menu and select Contactsand Add contact.2. Key in the name and press OK.See ”Using traditional text input”on page 16.3. Key in the phone number, andpress OK. To key in numbers, see”Making a call” on page 11.4. When the name and number havebeen saved, press Done.Tip: Quick save: In standbymode, key in the phonenumber and press Save. Key inthe name, press OK and Done.Saving multiple numbers andtext items per nameYou can save different types ofphone numbers and short text itemsfor each name in the phone’sinternal memory for contacts.The first number saved isautomatically set as the defaultnumber and it is indicated by aframe around the number typeindicator, for example . Whenyou select a name from Contacts,for example to make a call, thedefault number is used unless youselect another number.1. Make sure that the memory inuse is either Phone or Phone andSIM. See ”Selecting settings forcontacts” on page 47.2. To access the list of names andphone numbers, move thejoystick down in standby mode.3. Scroll to the name saved in thephone’s internal memory for thecontacts to which you want toadd a new number or text item,and press Details.4. Press Options and select Addnumber or Add detail.5. To add a number or detail, selectone of the number types or texttypes, respectively.
