Note that thecamera uses shared memory, see”Shared memory” on page xi.Taking a photo1. Press Menu, select Camera andselect Standard photo, Portraitphoto or Night mode if thelighting is dim for taking photos.If you want to add the photo to aname/phone number saved inContacts, select Portrait photo.Tip: To quickly open theviewfinder in standby modewith standard photo view,move the joystick up.2. The image appears on the display,and you can use the display as aviewfinder.3. To take a photo, press Capture.The phone saves the photo in theImages folder of the Gallerymenu. The saved photo will beshown on the display.Select Back to take anotherphoto, or press Options andselect, for example, an option torename or zoom in on the photo,set it as wallpaper, send it as amultimedia message, or attachthe photo to a name or phonenumber in Contacts or to accessthe gallery.To open the viewfinder options,press Options and select, forexample, an option to set thedesired operation mode, activatethe self-timer, or access thegallery.Tip: You can activate the self-timer of the camera for onepicture at a time. To open theviewfinder in standby mode,move the joystick up, selectOptions and Self-timer. PressStart and, after the timeout,the camera takes the photoand saves it in the Gallerymenu. While the self-timer isrunning, a beeping sound isheard.Recording a video clipPress Menu, and select Camera,Video and press Record. The redindicator and the remainingrecording time are shown at the topof the display.• To stop the recording, press Stopand the video clip is saved in theVideo clips folder of the Gallerymenu.
