You may receive the settings in a special textmessage from the network operator or service providerthat offers the IM service. See ‘Data and settings’, p. 47.You can also enter the settings manually. See ‘Chat serversettings’, p. 73.Connect to an IM server1 To connect to the IM server in use, open IM, and selectOptions > Login. To change the IM server in use andsave new IM servers, see ‘Chat server settings’, p. 73.2 Enter your user ID and password, and press to login. You obtain the user ID and password for the IMserver from your service provider.3 To log out, select Options > Logout.Modify your IM settingsSelect Options > Settings > IM settings and from thefollowing:Use screen name (shown only if IM groups are supportedby the server)—To enter a nickname, select Yes.
